Review of Dream House (2011) by Grady H — 04 Jan 2014
Dream House - psychological horror film - directed by Jim Sheridan from the script written by David Loucka. Starring Daniel Craig, Naomi Watts and one of my sweethearts Rachel Weisz. Daniel and Weisz had declined to promote movie, due to their un-satisfaction with altered end.
Daniel is shown bidding his co-workers - he moves in with his wife (Rachel) and young daughter and son; opposite Naomi Watts who lives with her teenage daughter, as well as visiting ex-husband. Slowly, Daniel notices that Naomi is quite reluctant to meet him - he gets more alerted when his children inform him about seeing nightly figures outside their window-pans. It turns out that, there lives nobody in his house - which has been deserted - his family that he lives with, is rather his phantom.
I sat with my little nephews to show them this film on big tv. I loved its pace, the acting, twist, suspense and little bit of mixture of crime. And then, there is this exquisite and bubblicious sweet lady Rachel. A simple movie, and yet fairly entertaining.
