Well, it's a movie. Hard to believe this was directed by Tom Mankiewicz? He's written a lot of really good movies. Not to say this one is bad. I have fond memories of seeing it.
I wasn't a follower of the Dragnet series. I know the gist though. Aykroyd does a mean Jack Webb.
Tom Hanks in an early comedic role. have to say, the video for city of crime is more than enough to see where he would be in contention for an Oscar later in life.
