Review of Drag Me to Hell (2009) by Conner F — 06 Aug 2012
Campy, scary, and heart-pounding as hell. "Drag Me to Hell" shows that Sam Raimi is still the king of camp. Though cheesy at times, the film has legitimately frightening scenes in it. The only downside is that the legitimate fear instilled is followed by a sub-par CGI effect followed by an incredible special effect.
This back and forth switch from a painfully scary sight to a ridiculous gag makes for a odd viewing experience.
