Review of Drag Me to Hell (2009) by Hellholehorror — 13 Jan 2023

I absolutely love this film. It always entertains me. It's the perfect mixture of super gross and crazy. The film looks amazing, has that typical Sam Raimi style and in a good way. The CGI is minimal and only occasionally distracting (mostly the disappearing slime from the corpse's mouth).

The sound design is excellent, basically faultless. It has a simple but effective story. There were lots of jumpy moments and excitement but it was never scary. Really good acting, especially from the lead actress.

The ending was fantastic. It is very reminiscent of Evil Dead II: Dead by Dawn (1987). It's a really enjoyable and exciting ride.
