Review of Drag Me to Hell (2009) by Blake S — 02 Sep 2014

I must say, I was incredibly surprised when I found this movie got a higher rating than such classics as "The Exorcist", "The Omen" and "The Shining". I love Sam Raimi as a director, but this was a terrible compared his works of art such "Evil Dead" and "The Possession".

I'm sorry, but horror movies shouldn't be purposely funny. The special effects were also very bad compared to some horror movies nowadays and even classics. Don't get me wrong, "The Shining" is a little silly in parts, but no one dropped a weight on Jack Nicholson's head that made his eyes bulge out some strange cuckoo clock.

If you want a real horror movie, stay with the classics. They almost never let you down, as "Drag Me To Hell" did to me.
