While not without its moments, Draft Day follows a formulaic plot that allows for no real surprises and offers nothing even remotely new in the realm of sports dramas. The premise itself also provides a substantial hurdle, making it so that anyone who is not a sports fan will likely find difficulty becoming vested in the material.
