This movie is entertaining at times and it's nice to see the NFL so integrated into a film, but this ranks up there with Tin Cup (another Costner vehicle) as one of the dumbest sports movies ever made.
What Costner does with the #1 pick makes absolutely no sense. It would have been nice if the screenwriters actually tried to make the draft-day decisions more realistic. Jennifer Garner is annoying as the forced love interest, and Dennis Leary seems out of place as a feisty coach.
