Review of Draft Day (2014) by Eric A — 18 Oct 2015
About 10 minutes into the movie, some blowhard sports radio jockeys claim the following: "Football was invented 20 miles down the road in Canton, Ohio.".
Canton is 60 miles down the road from Cleveland.
For people who don't know anything about sports, or indeed geography, this movie is probably stylized and charming enough to provide some sort of heartwarming entertainment; for people who know literally anything about sports, especially the management aspects, this movie is probably the second-worst sports movie (Blue Chips is still goddamn holding strong to that top spot, goddamn it) ever shat upon the screen by the people of the former category.
But at least it's hilarious.
