Review of Draft Day (2014) by Sean B — 17 Apr 2014
This movie placed Kostner in the best role for him. It's not only a great film but gave us the point of view from a realistic aspect. The Cleveland browns were not only a good team to choose but the best!!!! Why? Because it's truth to a team that needs key pieces to fall in place for their team.
I've heard several people ask why not choose the Broncos or Patriots and even Green Bay. Those would have been the worse teams by far because the draft is only a perk for them not a strength as much as it is for the smaller teams!! This is a great representation of the second biggest day in the NFL next to the SuperBowl.
With not only one down shown in the browns playing football this movie was not only credible but honest. The draft is more movie oriented from the lesser teams then it is for the top tier. If you are a movie goer you want realistic in a movie like this not fantasy.
That's why the Internet has fantasy football which is another story in itself. I will take real football any day over fantasy. So with this movie they hit their mark. Casting did a good job with the choice of actors the way they did.
Very enjoyable fun film. Until next time- "Only the bad shall fear my name".
