Review of Dracula Untold (2014) by Ian G — 15 Nov 2014

Another one of those Universal Horror monsters that has hit the multiplexes of late with a reimaging in the hopes of "franchising" just based on the Dracula brand with a affordable hot actor, in this case Luke Evans of the Fast and Furious and Hobbit series in the titular lead and Dominic Cooper in a supporting role.

Even though Luke brings as much of an A game as one might hope given the material and Dominic Cooper harkening back to his Devil's Double mode A game as his arch nemesis, one couldn't help but ask for someone to pass the controller so you can activiate Bat swarm powers or bad weather mood lighting.

All in all pretty under-developed, and uninteresting stuff. Hopefully one of these days not that audiences are demanding it but this popular characters will get their proper reverence with good films done in their names.
