Pretty "popcorn-ish" flick in the first place. More like a guilty pleasure kinda way. On the other hand, I was definitely entertained. The story is kinda dull and trying to be dark at times, but overall it is still impressive for a flick.
It is still very over the top in terms of a Dracula story. But the portrayal of him by Luke Evans is I should say pretty good job. The CGI effects in the battle scenes as Dracula summons all the dark bats.
It is trying its hardest to be a blockbuster, but then it can be easily forgettable. It is a dark fantasy that would be remembered at least for a bit. Surprisingly, it hit the box office pretty well for its budget.
I should say I gave it at least a 3 out of 5.
