Review of Dracula Untold (2014) by Jacob T — 02 Feb 2018
I thought the movie was great, did it have it's flaws yes, but so does every movie.
It had great characters, a fitting story that didn't just have Vlad 100% evil even when he went vampire mode. It seemed pretty believable when he gave up everything to save his son.
The idea of having the Turks invading and threatening to use Vlad's son and the sons of thousands of Transylvanian's for their armies being the reason why Vlad went to the vampire is a great idea and moves away from the regular mold I've seen Dracula being forced into constantly.
The idea that there is a vampire above Drac is also interesting and could go many places if used correctly.
I think this movie is pretty great despite the flaws it might have.
