Review of Dracula: Prince of Darkness (1966) by Scott M — 25 Feb 2008
Dracula returns from the grave to menace some innocent Londoners on their holiday and thanks to a dull script mostly makes a bit of a fool of himself. While the atmosphere and performances are fine, the movie's weakened by not giving Dracula anything decent to do and a certain level of camp that makes it hard to take it seriously.
(Poor old Helen!) While on a certain level it's fine, you'd be forgiven for expecting more from one of Hammer's most famous horror icons.
