Review of Dracula: Prince of Darkness (1966) by Michael T — 12 Jun 2009
It took almost a decade, but Lee retuned to the role of Count Dracula. In typical Hammer gothic style, two married vacationing English couples take refuge in Dracula's castle and are greeted by his sinister servant (where was this guy at the end of THE HORROR OF DRACULA, his boss really could have used his help then).
Before long, the servant has drained the blood of the older more boorish Englishman and a ressurected Drac has turned Barbra Shelley into one of his brides. The surviving couple (young newlyweds) escape from Dracula's castle but are chased by him through the Carpathian mountains.
Lots of fun.
