Review of Dracula: Prince of Darkness (1966) by Private U — 23 Jun 2007
Superb, nightmarish gothic from Hammer. Because he refused to say his lines (which he felt were disrespectful to Stoker), Lee's Dracula is totally silent, giving him a demonic, feral quality.
Dracula's resurrection is one of Hammer's bloodiest and most chilling set-pieces.
