Review of Dracula: Pages from a Virgin's Diary (2002) by Ken T — 08 May 2010
The always interesting oddball from Winnipeg, Guy Maddin, has crafted a unique version of Dracula. The film is shot in silent B/W and uses ballet to explore the emotions of the Stoker novel set to the music of Gustav Mahler.
Wonderfully filmed with inventive sets, this another terrific film from one of cinema's finest working filmmakers today.
