Review of Dracula Has Risen from the Grave (1968) by Allan C — 08 Nov 2014
Okay third outing for Hammer Films eight film Dracula cycle of films (six if you are only counting the Christoper Lee films). Christopher Lee again returns as the count and is once again excellent. The story isn't all that compelling though, despite a decent premiss.
A local Transylvanian priest exorcises Castle Dracula and when the count returns, he not so happy about being unable to enter his own home. Bland characters and pacing kind of drag the film down, but Freddie Francis provides the film with plenty of stylish touches and James Bernard another solid flimsier.
