Review of Dracula: Dead and Loving It (1995) by Bob V — 14 Sep 2011
Brooks' second foray into spoofing the classic horror genre somehow never quite manages to take off, causing it to be his least liked film. It's not really any more nonsensical or crass as some of his other films, but something is clearly lacking here.
Fans of Brooks revile this film with a passion, mostly because of the perceived contrast with Young Frankenstein & Blazing Saddles. This vehement dislike has coloured the public perception about exactly how truly bad this film is, but to be honest, it's not thát atrocious.
