Review of Dracula 2000 (2000) by Jennifer G — 13 Jun 2008
Tight, taut, and not too serious for its own good. The first half is easily the best, with its high-tech heist gone wrong (anyone else have trouble not picturing what would have happened with an Ocean's Eleven crossover?), but the whole thing is a mindless treat.
Possibly the wrongest thing about this film is that I find Christopher Plummer far hotter than Johnny Lee Miller. Then again, I find wet paper towels hotter than JLM, so maybe not. But it's good to finally know that baseline = thrall.
That really clears up the long, ugly history of lousy club hookups. I'd wax rhapsodic about Gerard Butler's hotness, but who has the next twenty years free to listen?
