Review of Dracula (1958) by Christopher B — 31 Oct 2007
I just saw this at the cinema and I've got to say - I didn't enjoy it as much as when I saw it previously. It is a bit obvious to begin with, but does pick up pace as it goes on. Cushing is excellent as Van Hesling but I'm sure I've seen Lee put in better performances as Drac.
I'd rate the Bela Lugosi / Universal version from the 30s ahead of this any day.
