Review of Dracula (1958) by Stéphane B — 25 Feb 2008
On a certain level this is great fun, but compared to Hammer's Frankenstein movies it's hard to see what all the fuss was about. This takes some liberties with the text but not in a way that really adds anything worthwhile and it never really gets going.
Sadly at the end of the day Dracula doesn't really get to do much in his own movie. Worth seeing, but not the best Hammer has to offer.
