Review of Dr. T & the Women (2000) by Committed 2 M — 23 Feb 2009
This struck me as a big name cast that didn't know what they were doing there. I didn't know either.
Here is what I got from it. Dr. T is a nice guy who loves women - in a good way, not like a lech. But in his life as a successful and popular OB/Gyn, he has too much of a good thing; too damn many women vying be the center of his attention.
The one woman that he wants as the center of his universe, his wife, has gone 'round the bound and is now doing laps there, while he tries to make some sense of it with newly divorced s-i-l having just moved in with her three daughters and his own two grown daughters. His work life is a thriving medical practice filled with too many women, some of them only there because they want to bed him.
His wife wants a divorce. His side number (no man lives a celibate life indefinitely!) has a side number of her own. It's a convoluted MESS on a grand scale!!! And there is nowhere to run!
I did like the ending though ~ a satisfying twist.
Oh, and coming from a naturalized Texan who has given birth to 8 native Texans and raised them in Texas, the southern accents are way off and completely over the top in my opinion!
