Review of Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964) by Ben D — 10 Apr 2012
On paper this shouldn't work. On screen: it's a riot. One of he best American comedies of the 1960s, Dr Strangelove is just one of those films that won't go away. It's influence is huge, it's shadow vast.
.. I'm not sure anybody will ever make a war film as funny. I'm just glad the studio let Kubrick free to do it.
