This slightly dark, cynical comedy of what could have been is a clear indicator of genius that was Stanley Kubrick. It demonstrates the easiness that human being can obliterate one another in a ridiculous ( but entirely possible, yet entirely possible) scenario that can be applied in any past or future wars.
