Review of Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964) by Anthony P — 14 Nov 2012
The greatest film satire ever made.
Although, not entirely comedy, it is more dramatic and wordy, but still with a few small snippets of ironic jokes. It shows the fear and paranoia of nuclear weapons during the Cold War and what would happen if some psychopath, who fears all of this, would stir up trouble by sending a nuclear bomb and it's up to the President to stop this misunderstanding from happening.
Dr. Stranglove is dark, bleak, and suspenseful. But even in the last moments of all the commotion, panic, confusion and the ominous destruction, there would still be some laughs.
