Review of Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964) by Jeff B — 15 Dec 2012
Kubrick is probably my favorite director. That being said, I was very leery of him helming a farcial movie. My fears were upheld as I found this extremely disappointing. The only scenes I thought were decent were the combat scenes and those clearly weren't the focus here.
Peter Sellers was funny to me as a child but I equate watching him to watching Gilligan's Island-just not the same anymore. I chalk this up as yet another highly overrated "classic.".
