Review of Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964) by Nick K — 09 Aug 2013
This Cold War comedy from legendary director Stanley Kubrick combines jet-black humour, razor-sharp wit and biting political satire to brilliant and hilarious effect, and features an irreverent air of misanthropic cynicism that was far ahead of its time.
Strong performances, well-written dialogue, hysterical improvisation and slick cinematography have helped the film to age well, and place "Dr. Strangelove" amongst Kubrick's best movies.
