Review of Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964) by Rick S — 17 Jan 2014
"You can't fight in here, this is the war room!".
A deliciously witty Cold War black comedy about a neurotic commander who provokes a nuclear holocaust when he sends a fleet of nuclear warheads at the USSR, a room of men trying to stop them, and an ex-Nazi physicist thrilled at the premise of having to repopulate a barren earth. Kubrick has plenty of fun linking man's desire for war and violence with his sexual impulse.
