Taking an issue as serious as the Cold War and turn it into a piece so hilarious displays Stanley Kubrick's genius. He continued to display a certain degree of satire in his subsequent films, but never again would he take black comedy to its utmost heights, and never again would Peter Sellers reveal his full range of talent.
