Review of Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964) by Bheema D — 09 Aug 2014
Even though there is little chance of the U.S. and Russia nuking each other off today, this Cold War comedy is still frightening, and the comedy is still relevant. Unlike "Fail-Safe," which seems ridiculously stupid today (as it was in its time), this movie still feels relevant due to themes of the military overstepping its bounds and paranoia of the "other," whoever they are for whichever generation is watching this movie.
This is Stanley Kubrick's best work next to the under-appreciated "Paths of Glory.".
