Review of Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964) by Jamie B — 29 Dec 2015
One thing which puts Dr.Strangelove in the league of greatest movies ever is the relevance it exhibits with the inside out of conflict of ideologies discussed or kept in secrecy. The mastery in direction Kubrick shows and perfection with which Peter sellers performs in the bizarrely unique plot add a good reason for one to give up for the strange love of cinema.
Cinematography deserves a special mention, as the humour in the movies flows from the sound into the visual and also the sensitivity of the subject is supported by the sharp battle shots in the movie.
The Music scores used in the movie sound rather laughable than audible, which is quiet scarce to find after chaplin's reign. The most important part of the movie as a whole is it's strongly intact script which keeps the viewer stick to his seat with bliss or blush.
