Review of Dr. No (1962) by Cori A — 19 Jan 2012
I had never seen the classic James Bond movies in full before. It is good to see what these movies should be - mainly plot driven (although there was some silly radioactivity based deal going on at the end).
I haven't seen Daniel Craig's Bond, but the Brosnan stuff that I have watched always seemed divorced from the spy genre and completely focused on how cool Bond is and how cool his gadgets are.
Saying all this, I don't give this 5/5 on the basis that the plot confused me at times (yes, I do seem hypocritical - but it should be possible to have a movie based on espionage without the overload of names I was exposed to).
I am looking forward to watching more classic Bond.
