Review of Dr. No (1962) by Luis Y — 17 May 2013
More detective than action star, Dr. No kicks off the Bond franchise well with the performance of Sean Connery and a plot good enough to keep you interested. The pacing of the film is slow, but picks up about halfway once the characters head to Crab Key.
I did have a problem with the fake scene of bond driving during the chase scene mid-movie, but I get that it was 1962, so I gave it a pass. Again, a solid entry and I will continue to keep watching the franchise.
