Review of Dr. No (1962) by Brian D — 12 Feb 2014
Dr. No is the original James Bond movie, and one of the best. This film combines the phenomenal acting of Sean Connery, the great classic humor of the old Bond films, and plenty of thrills. Sean Connery is easily the best Bond, not only does he have the voice and nonchalant style to go along with the character, but he can definitely act the part with the role actively portraying him as a man with plenty of poker/seduction skills.
The modern Bond films have begun to turn a blind-eye to the witty humor that made its way into plenty of memorable lines of this classic Bond film, and the many that followed, the humor aspect definitely make the classics more fun to watch.
Finally, Dr. No has a sophisticated plot with plenty of thrills, the plot follows a linear timeline that's easy to follow, and the suspense aspect is never neglected in the very first Bond film that kicked off the series with a bang: Dr.
No.
