Review of Dr. No (1962) by Kia M — 11 Sep 2012
It is probably unfair to hold it to the standards of today's movies. Taking that aspect out, it wasn't such a bad movie. Sure the effects really stand out as terrible and almost hard to watch and the acting is equally as hard to bear.
Bond is very well represented and comes off very smooth with the ladies in the film. I think a little bit more action couldn't have hurt, but it was still entertaining. Dr. No was kept very mysterious until the end, and if he was developed as a genious in the radioactive science grounds throughout the film I think it would have been beneficial.
Overall entertaining if you get by with watching the older style of film it is and the traits that come with that.
