Review of Dr. No (1962) by James C — 15 Apr 2011
The first James Bond film is hardly the best one, but it certainly isn't bad either. It has all the right ingredients that would go on to be expected from every Bond film right up until the 21st century - with a suave, nonchalant, occasionally ruthless hero; an overblown arch-villain, whose ridiculous plans of world domination are equalled only by his ridiculous underwater lair; indisputably, one of the most stunningly gorgeous Bond girls of all time; and an exiting sense of adventure which should please most adults, and children with a certain amount of patience.
