Review of Dr. No (1962) by Morgan H — 10 Nov 2012
The film that launched the most successful and enduring franchise in movie history lives up to its legacy, providing us with Connery's iconic take on 007 (still the best after all these years, with his smooth charm, dry wit, and, at times, necessarily brutal masculinity), Ursula Andress' drop-dead gorgeous Bond girl, the calculated title villain (who deserves far more screentime, alas), and Monty Norman's legendary title theme.
