Review of Dr. No (1962) by Senor C — 18 Jul 2011
Now that I have seen a shit pile of Bond films (18 of the 22) Connery's first outing is amongst my favorites. Even if they didn't make so many 007 movies this one would stand heads & tails above the rest.
Connery has created a legendary character that no one who steps into the role can duplicate. As well the Jame Bond theme song is what I would consider one of the top 6 theme songs & here it is really put to good use not having another theme song that is reprised a dozen times.
Dr No is Bond @ its best along w/ Goldfinger & From Russia w/ Love. It's the most plausible & the most digestible.
