Review of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.: A Historical Perspective (1994) by Morpheus O — 20 Feb 2011
This documentary was excellent but, it wasn't perfect! The two things that I didn't like were, one, the fact that although it ran chronologically, it wasn't exact. It jumped around a bit and for some that could make it hard to understand, especially bc I found the narrator to be talking rather fast; ...it would have helped if the guy slowed down a bit but, the fact that the program didn't run in proper chronological order made it cumbersome.
And, two, an hour long program talking about the life of MLK Jr. just isn't good enough. A six hour long program, doing indepth interviews with friends & family of Dr. King, scholars, theologians, & ppl talking historically about the effect that Dr. King had on society not just here in America but around the whole world, would be much more appropriate!
