Review of Dr. Giggles (1992) by Jonathan L — 10 Aug 2009
Now here's a doctor that you certainly wouldnt want to go to if you was sick. SICK of course being the operative word as this is a sick bloody gory horror that nods an homage to Re-Animator. Some of the deaths are well done in execution and effects and Larry Drake does make a creepy chilling psychopath who's wish when he was a kid was to be a doctor.
Many years later, Dr. Giggles is in and patients are dying to see him LITERALLY. Charmed actress Holly Marie Combs cuts her teeth in this debut as a teenager with a heart condition and the sinster doctor's heart melts as he feels like he can help her but not before dispatching her friends and yes even her parents in various yet imaginative bloody ways.
Dr Giggles is a fun little horror that will make a boring night into a fun filled 80's style horror finale. If you like horror thats twisted, give the Dr. a call.
