Review of Downsizing (2017) by Royce B — 23 Dec 2017
The premise of altering life to combat global issues caused by humans was part of the initial appeal of "Downsizing" up to the point where Matt Damon gets "small" after which the movie becomes a painstaking journey that you quickly wish would have taken up a smaller amount of your time.
If sitting uncomfortably in a chair and being subjected to visual and storytelling torture is on your bucket list, then Downsizing is ready to deliver that and more. Stirring up emotions is a wonderful result of watching movies; however, the only thing "Downsizing" does is makes you feel anger at how disconnected Hollywood is from reality and wonder what real good could have come to the human race and planet with the $68 million that was burned in this epic train wreck.
The best part of the movie was counting how many times I wanted to leave my seat to go destroy the projector.
