Review of Downsizing (2017) by Regan B — 18 Feb 2018
This movie deserves zero stars. I wanted to see a comedy, but there was nothing even slightly amusing about this movie after the first thirty minutes. Downsizing created one of the most deceptive movie trailers I have ever seen in my life.
The funniest part of the movie was when an entire family walked out of the theatre 20 minutes before the end. They finally accepted it wasn't going to get better and they would get no satisfaction or closure by torturing themselves for even one second longer.
This film would have been equally terrible even as just a drama. That's how bad it was.
