This is one of those movies that has no idea what it wants to be. What starts as a quirky Charlie Kaufman-esque satire turns into something entirely different and ill-fitting in the second half: a preachy environmental tale with a cult no more fleshed out or realistic than the Dharma Initiative.
One of the messiest, least engaging movies I've seen in years.
