Review of Downsizing (2017) by Nerdzrule E — 16 May 2018
I ENJOYED IT. Hong Chau was a revelation to me, I admired every second of her acting. Matt Damon is perfect. And Christoph Waltz just never ceases to amaze me with his naturally funny darkness. It expanded my mind and answered a lot of my questions regarding the idea of downsizing- not all of them, but many of them, a lot like life itself! And yes, I noticed how it diverts from the central feeling halfway, morphing into another thing.
But I also liked that. Why is it preferable for movies to walk in straight lines?
