I wondered where the movie would go after the premise was realized, the downsizing. Unfortunately, it seemed to go nowhere. The sci-fi elements of downsizing during the first 1/2 hour were interesting but the remainder of the plot was not.

Strange mashup of black markets, social inequality, environmental impact and several other themes just don't gel together.
