Review of Downloaded (2013) by Zac H — 14 Jul 2013
For all of those kids who grew up around this awesome technology idea of sharing free music through a software called " Napster" this movie will bring back all those both good and bad (bad being the dial up Internet back then, lol) memories of downloading a song such as Eminem's "The Real Slim Shady." And we all remember Lars from Metallica going crazy over people downloading his bands music that just made us all go, "what the?????".
This documentary is just so interesting in how it covers the rise and fall of "Napster," something so great to those 90's/20th century kids who grew up around something so cool, so hip, etc. The surprising part is Bill, from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure ( Alex Winter) directs this entertaining documentary.
This documentary just gives you an idea how "Napster" paved the way for Steve Job's billion dollar idea of how mp3's were the future, thus Job's creating a little portable device called the " iPod" to hold all these music files know as mp3s that the present generation uses today.
