Review of Downfall: The Case Against Boeing (2022) by Bertobellamy — 22 Feb 2022
A pretty ordinary documentary; still, a reminder of the dangers of hypercapitalism. There are bad CGI recreations and your regular talking heads moments, but the way Rory Kennedy assembles the facts gives a good pace to the narrative.
The family testimonies, of course, are the emotional part of the film, but the segment about how Boeing went from an exemplary company to a greedy one is the core of it. Showing the root cause of these disasters is what I found more interesting about this documentary.
