Review of Downfall (2004) by Phobeyozos — 23 Nov 2020
Downfall is one of the most gripping films produced to date. Bruno Ganz, Ulrich Matthes, and Ulrich Noethen in particular truly embodied their roles and presented us with hauntingly verifiable depections of these infamous figures of history.
This film lifts a vail and allows for the viewer to see the true greyness of WW2, at times eliciting internally confrontational feelings of sympathy.
