Review of Downfall (2004) by Ash S — 10 Jan 2010
One of the best war films ever made, it was nominated for an Oscar for best foreign film. A harrowing and accurate account of Hitler's last days in the bunker, as seen through the eyes of Hitler's infamous secretary Traudi Junge, Hiltler is played by German actor Bruno Ganz in a spellbinding performance, who sees the grim truth that Germany's defeat is certain and inevitable.
great period detail and a outstanding cast makes this a truly memorable film. In German with English subtitles. Hiighly Rocommended.
