Review of Downfall (2004) by Jerome K — 11 Nov 2011
As a WWII film about the German's perspective, this is truly unique among war films. I don't know how historically correct this movie is, but I thought it did an excellent job portraying the final days of Hitler.
It did a great job of humanizing the characters. After all, even monsters are three-dimensional. The movie was also superbly acted, and Bruno Ganz gave an outstanding performance as Adolf Hitler. This film should definitely be considered one of the defining WWII films.
